Music Theater Bavaria, Inc., dba Musiktheater Bavaria, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Winter Park, FL. It was organized in October 2010 to own and operate the Music Theater Bavaria (now "Musiktheater Bavaria") summer study-abroad program established by MTB's Founder and Director Emeritus, Rollins Professor Richard R. Owens, in the year 2000.
Several of the members of our volunteer Board of Directors provide hands-on management of the program, working alongside our program's Artistic Director, faculty and committed volunteers. All of our resources are devoted to the MTB program and the costs of providing the incredible array of training that it offers.
We are a small organization whose leaders are passionate about our educational mission. Our focus is delivering the best possible summer program experience for young performers who aspire to a career in opera or musical theater.
OUR MISSION: To train, inspire and prepare talented young performing artists for a career in opera or musical theater, and help them grow in their artistry, broaden their world view and move toward career success through their participation in the Musiktheater Bavaria summer study-abroad program.
